August 2010: InterKnit Letter From the Director

"Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers." Galatians 6:10

Dear Friends and Partners in Ministry:

Thank you for praying for us and for our partners. As they make Christ known in the midst of challenging situations, our partners are greatly encouraged to know that so many of you are praying for them. They are just as eager to lift up our needs before God. Even in the face of persecution, extreme shortage of resources or other challenges, they want to know how they can pray for us. We are humbled by this remarkable faith and complete trust in the promises of God, and continue to learn valuable lessons of partnership in His name.

Summer is an active time for most of our partners, so we will have much to report over the coming months. This month we highlight some of our partners in India, Haiti, and Africa who are facing some of the hardships mentioned above. As they continue to pray for our work, please pray for them and for some of their immediate challenges:

  • Village Evangelism - traveling great distances to completely unreached areas;
  • Care of Widows and Orphans - in the midst of rising inflation and unemployment;
  • Disaster Relief - meeting the most basic human needs;
  • Hungry Children - having to turn children away because there is not enough food to feed them all;
  • Summer Training Conferences - providing training to undereducated workers who will return to serve their congregations.

June 2010: InterKnit Letter From the Director

As Dr. Paul Gupta, President of Hindustan Bible Institute, wrote recently, God is using "simple barefoot, grass roots pastors and church planters ... in the villages" to bring about unprecedented growth in the global church. Millions are turning to Christ in Latin America, Africa and Asia. East West InterKnit is privileged to partner with several ministries in India which are active participants in this movement. This letter highlights Jehovah Shammah Children's Home, a ministry whose reach extends far beyond a "home for children." Read more >>>
